Finding B2B clients: how an AI hunter finds companies with verified contacts

Client search · September 25, 2026 · 2 min read

A list of companies from a search is not a list of leads. What makes a lead real — a reason to reach out, a verified contact, an A/B/C grade — and how to automate it.

A web studio, a cleaning company, an accounting firm, a supplier: every B2B business needs a stream of companies it can write to. It usually looks like this: a sales rep spends an hour searching, copies names and phone numbers into a sheet, half the numbers don't answer and the emails go out to everyone with no reason at all. That list doesn't sell.

What makes a lead real

  • The company fits your ideal customer: industry, city, size.
  • There is a concrete reason to write now: the website hasn't changed since 2019, a new branch opened, the company is hiring, reviews complain about slow replies.
  • The contact comes from the company's own page, not invented and not outdated.
  • The reason has a source: a link anyone can check.

A good test for a reason: if you remove it from the email, does the offer change? If not, it isn't a reason, it's a template.

Grades A, B, C

Not all leads are equal. A fits every criterion, with a clear signal and a verified contact: write today. B fits, but the signal is weaker or the contact is generic. C is worth keeping in the base for later. A grade like this saves a salesperson more time than a longer list does.

Why contacts must be verified

A language model that “knows” companies will sometimes confidently produce a phone number that doesn't exist. That's why every contact has to be found on an open page of the company itself. Small businesses often hide contacts in the site's footer, in markup for search engines, behind Cloudflare's email protection or in a WhatsApp link, and they need to be pulled from there.

Ethics and the law

We take only public business contacts of companies and don't collect personal data of private individuals. If contacts of specific people end up in the base, check the personal data law of your country before sending anything.

How VIT TEAM does it

The client hunter searches Google, opens company websites and their contact pages. Every phone and email in its report is checked against the pages it opened, and unverified ones are marked ⚠. In our test, “find 5 dry cleaners in Almaty with weak websites” took 84 seconds and cost $0.18: 18 of 20 contacts were confirmed on the companies' sites. Every company found goes into the lead base, the next search skips them, and the base downloads as CSV for Excel or Google Sheets.
